Pear Yam Soup

This yummy soup is perfect for a rainy summer evening. The fresh sweetness of the pear is so refreshing, while the creaminess of the yam is comforting and delicious. I just made this as the perfect dinner for a thunderstorm.

  • 1 fresh, organic pear
  • 1 baked yam
  • 1 cup water (or more if needed)
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • pecans for topping

Put all ingredients into the Vitamix. Turn it on at low speed and rapidly increase to 10, then to high. Blend on high for a minute or two, or until the soup is at the desired temperature. Serve and enjoy!
